SUMMARY
As founding and senior partner at Brayton Purcell LLP, Alan R. Brayton proudly represents clients in Novato, California, and the surrounding areas. He focuses his practice on handling cases that involve the following matters: product liability law, asbestos litigation law, litigation, mass torts law, personal injury law, mesothelioma law, torts law and toxic torts law.
For more than 30 years, Mr. Brayton has been fighting to protect the rights of the injured. In addition to building compelling arguments in the courtroom, he has also testified before the U.S. Congress in opposition of efforts to relax asbestos control efforts.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Brayton has delivered consistently favorable results. He brings the discipline and tenacity he honed during his 12 years in the U.S. Air Force to every case he handles. Credited with successfully bringing the first asbestos case to trial in Solano County, he has since tried numerous matters involving asbestos-related diseases. Additionally, Mr. Brayton has negotiated a number of settlements for victims who suffer from issues such as beryllium lung cancer.
For his accomplishments, Mr. Brayton has earned the highest rating possible of AV Preeminent* from Martindale-Hubbell; the Public Justice Foundation named him a Champion of Justice in 2013; and the Consumer Attorneys of California recognized him for his trial lawyer experience in products liability and professional negligence.
Mr. Brayton is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. He has also been admitted to The State Bar of California and Hawaii State Bar Association.
