As a partner at Carroll and OÂ’Dea, Diana Farah is dedicated to serving clients throughout the Canberra area. In order to best serve her clients, she is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Ms. Farah speaks English and Arabic.
Over the course of her career, Ms. Farah has focused her practice on the following areas: alternative dispute resolution law, civil law, consumer law, guardian and conservatorship law, insurance law, legal ethics and professional responsibility law, personal injury law, product liability law, professional liability law, torts law and workersÂ’ compensation law. Her cases generally involve such issues as asbestos, car accidents, legal malpractice, Legionnaires disease, medical malpractice, negligence, train and railroad accidents, and traumatic brain injuries. She is an accredited specialist by the Law Society of NSW in her area of focus.
An experienced negotiator and qualified mediator, Ms. Farah has built a reputation on her dispute resolution skills. With every case, it is her goal to help her clients reach positive resolutions to their legal issues as cost effectively as possible. To do this, she listens to her clientsÂ’ needs and goals, and provides them with the personalized guidance they deserve. While she generally strives to achieve amicable solutions, Ms. Farah will aggressively fight on behalf of her clients, and their rights, when the other side will not budge. Her notable successes include obtaining the first successful outcome in Australia for a malicious prosecution case.
Involvement in the legal community and education are priorities for Ms. Farah. She regularly presents to insurance claims officers and other lawyers at seminars for numerous organizations.
