SUMMARY
As partner at Carroll & OÂ’Dea, Adrian OÂ’Dea is committed to representing clients in Australia. He focuses his practice on handling cases that involve the following matters: alternative dispute resolution law, torts law, debtor and creditor law, professional liability law, legal ethics, professional responsibility law and litigation.
The regulations that govern business practices and professional responsibility can be quite complex. Commercial disputes can lead to costly and time-consuming litigation. A company or individuals can be tied up in court for months and even years while trying to settle matters. Mr. OÂ’Dea understands that a clientÂ’s time is precious. He seeks to resolve issues as efficiently and effectively as possible.
As a New South Wales Law Society accredited specialist in commercial litigation, Mr. OÂ’Dea has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution. His goal is to secure a favorable outcome for clients without the hassle of litigation. However, Mr. OÂ’Dea knows that there are situations that merit a courtroom battle. He is a fierce advocate for clients, whether he is handling a negligence claim or breach of contract matters. Thanks to his broad commercial law background, he counsels clients on a variety of issues using practicality and balance.
Among Mr. OÂ’DeaÂ’s successes include a case in which he oversaw a prosecution under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, which was done on behalf of the WorkCover Authority of New South Wales. A published author, he has written about topics ranging from the New South Wales Home Building Act to breach of fiduciary duty.
Mr. OÂ’Dea was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 1997.
