SUMMARY
Charles G. Monnett, III / Charles G. Monnett III & Associates
As the founding partner of Charles G. Monnett III & Associates, Mr. Monnett has more than 30 years of experience in personal injury law. He primarily handles cases related to motor vehicle accidents, industrial accidents, medical negligence and birth trauma. He has extensive experience representing clients with catastrophic injuries, including traumatic brain injuries and permanent disabilities that occurred from a serious accident. Mr. Monnett regularly appears in both state and federal courts for trial and appellate cases.
Mr. Monnett has handled a wide array of complex personal injury and workersÂ’ compensation cases, including boating accidents, bicycle and pedestrian accidents, workplace explosions, nursing home abuse and neglect, dental malpractice, defective products, truck accidents and surgical errors. He has also represented clients who were adversely affected by another attorneyÂ’s unprofessional actions or behavior.
His dedication to clients and aggressive representation in court have resulted in Mr. Monnett obtaining numerous impressive verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients. One of these involved a jury verdict of more than $1,000,000 for a client who received a mild brain injury. Because of his extensive knowledge in brain injuries, spinal injuries and other catastrophic injuries, he served two terms on the North Carolina Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Council and has served on the Brain Injury Association of North CarolinaÂ’s Board of Directors. He frequently speaks on traumatic brain injuries and personal injury law at legal seminars across the United States. Mr. Monnett has also been included in WhoÂ’s Who in American Law.
Mr. Monnett is admitted to practice law in the state of North Carolina and before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
