Prior to joining the Kentucky law firm of Gary C. Johnson, PSC, Gerald J. Pierson worked as a college history professor, an editor of scholarly manuscripts and a social service administrator. His diverse interests and experience have only served to deepen his skills as a lawyer. Today, Mr. Pierson represents clients in the medical malpractice field.
Mr. Pierson had previous experience in medical malpractice before joining the team at Gary C. Johnson. He also handled numerous insurance defense cases, representing insurance agencies in cases where their clients were accused of causing accident injuries. His work on both sides of the courtroom has given him an in-depth insight into personal injury law. As a result, he has obtained numerous impressive jury verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients.
Additionally, Mr. PiersonÂ’s award-winning writing and editing skills have resulted in the Kentucky Court of Appeals using his language in many of its recent decisions. Mr. Pierson is known for his meticulous approach in gathering evidence and supporting arguments for a case. He is a skilled litigator, known for refusing to back down in the courtroom. His abilities to amass and present facts enables him to effectively describe complex details to jurors, including the types of injuries that medical malpractice clients suffer and how their conditions will continue to affect them throughout their lives. He includes the client in each stage of the court process and will thoroughly and honestly answer their questions.
Mr. Pierson is admitted to practice law in Kentucky, before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit.
