SUMMARY
As an attorney at Ogborn Mihm LLP, Thomas Neville is committed to representing clients in Denver, Colorado. He dedicates his practice to handling cases that involve the following matters: professional malpractice law, civil rights law, discrimination law, contracts law, professional liability law, product liability law, labor and employment law, medical malpractice law, litigation and personal injury law.
Aggressive representation is not restricted to the courtroom. From extensive preparation through the appeals process, Mr. Neville remains a vocal advocate for clients who have been wronged. He works tirelessly to hold negligent parties accountable, whether the case involves a doctor error or a defective product. Mr. Neville has a strong background in bad faith insurance claims. He has passionately represented people whose insurance providers attempted to shortchange the policyholder.
A steadfast advocate for the wronged, Mr. Neville was instrumental in convincing the Colorado Supreme Court to abolish a antiquated doctrine. The doctrine waived responsibility from people who had negligently injured others on the basis that everyday events like icy roads could be considered an unforeseeable emergency situation.
In one of his notable successes, Mr. Neville wrote appellate briefs and argued before the Colorado Supreme Court for a case regarding an insurance company that refused to settle a lawsuit. As a result of his work, the court ruled that when a provider unreasonably refuses to settle a claim, the insured may enter into a stipulated judgment in excess of policy limits so they may assign a bad faith claim.
Mr. Neville is admitted to practice in Colorado and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.
In his spare time, Mr. Neville enjoys spending time with his family and serving as a Cub Scout parent.
